Sip & Sculpt Only in Neubau
Wine, Clay and Creativity
Booking Details
Clay on your hands, a drink in your glass, music in the air. Sip & Sculpt is a two-and-a-half hour joy ride through the human form — this time, we’re going full-body. You’ll sculpt expressive, seated figures that capture gesture, balance, and attitude in clay. No spinning wheels, no pressure, just the thrill of making something that feels alive and unmistakably yours.
What happens in the workshop
• Welcome drink and vibe check. Enjoy a good glass of wine, meet your tablemates, and loosen up with a quick “gesture clay” warm-up – simple shapes and movements to get your hands tuned to rhythm and flow.
• Demo that makes it feel easy. Our instructors show you the essential steps for building a seated figure: starting from the core, shaping limbs, finding proportions, and defining posture. You’ll see how a tilt, twist, or curve brings character into every pose.
• Your sculpture, your style. Go realistic, stylized, abstract, or playful. Work from a reference or pure imagination. We’ll help you block out volume, find balance, and express weight and emotion – a figure resting, stretching, or simply being.
• Playful prompts (join in if you like). Texture bar: stamps, fabrics, and tools for adding movement and detail to skin or clothing. Clay play: experiment with posture and proportion – elongate a limb, exaggerate a curve, or miniaturize a pose to explore expression through form.
• Finishing touches. Refine lines, adjust proportions, and highlight those small details – a bent knee, a hand resting, a subtle curve of the back – that make your sculpture sing. We’ll label it for firing and talk glaze options.
+ What we provide
Clay, tools, a guided program, all firing and glazing, and one fresh glass of wine. Extra textures, reference sheets, and stands for your figure are ready at your table.
Who it’s for
Absolute beginners, creative dabblers, date nights, friend groups, team socials – anyone who wants a playful, hands-on evening bringing full-body forms to life.

In the case of a rescheduling or cancellation, you will find the corresponding instructions under the first question “How can I reschedule my course?”
Important: Rescheduling requests via email, phone or in person cannot be accepted and are therefore invalid.
On the one hand, there is wheel throwing, where pieces are created on the electric pottery wheel. The resulting objects are characteristically round, symmetrical and thin. On the other hand, there is modeling and shaping clay by hand at the worktable. This includes coiling, pinch technique and slab technique. Here you are not bound to the round base shape created by the wheel and can freely express your creativity.
However, shorter nails – and for pottery wheel courses also a hair tie for longer hair as well as clothes that may get a little dirty – are an advantage. If despite the aprons some clay or glaze gets onto your clothing, don’t worry, both can be easily washed out.
We keep already glazed course pieces in our pickup shelves for 3 months. After that, due to space limitations, they are sorted into monthly boxes where we can no longer guarantee completeness or condition. Every year before Christmas, we donate all remaining pieces that have been with us for more than one year to “Aktion Leben” to bring joy to someone else. :)
Shipping within Austria (1–3 pieces*): €7.17
