Carve & Stamp — Linocut Workshop (14+)

Inspired by our lovely neighborhood market next to our Hietzing studio!

We love the creativity and character of our local market, and it inspired us to bring a little of that spirit into the studio. With our Carve & Stamp — Linocut Workshop workshop, you can turn your own ideas into handmade stamps and use them to create unique designs on ceramics.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of linocut, carve your own stamp, and use it to decorate ceramic pieces with your personal designs.

After a short introduction to the technique, you’ll carve your personal design into a rubber carving block and create your own handmade stamps.
You can then use your handmade stamps to decorate ceramic pieces.

Feel free to bring along inspiration photos or your own sketches. If you like, your designs can easily be traced and transferred onto the carving block. All materials needed for the workshop are provided.

Of course, you get to take your handmade stamps home with you and reuse them again and again. For example, you can create a whole ceramic set with a matching design, or decorate wrapping paper, greeting cards, journals and much more.
