The “Spin, Trim & Glaze” course offers a good insight into the craft of pottery, with you being involved in every step of the process from start to finish.

1. Day 1 – Cup, Vase, and Bowl:
You will be guided through working on the wheel by shaping a cylinder, from which you will try to create either a coffee cup with a hand-pulled handle, a vase, or a small jug. By the end of the day, you will also have the opportunity to make your own bowl.

2. Day 2 – Trimming:
On this day, you will refine your pieces, which are now in a leather-hard state. You will learn how to trim a foot onto the pieces and attach the handle.

3. Day 3 – Glazing:
After the first firing, you will receive your pieces back to paint and personalize them with high-quality glazes. If you can’t make the third appointment you can postpone it till a later date: just ask your instructor for more details.

The course guides you step by step through the entire process, so by the end, you’ll hold your own unique, handmade ceramic pieces.
