Have you always wanted to make pottery on a potter’s wheel? Let’s get started. With us you can get into pottery in a small group under the professional guidance of our great teachers Andrea, Miriam and Rosa!

+What you will do
In the first session you will learn basic pottery techniques on the wheel. The following day we will trim the pieces from the previous day – removing all excess from the thrown pottery and attaching the foot and handle. If there is still time left, you can continue practicing and making pottery.

The third date depends on the course you have booked:

–> If you have opted for the 175.00 Euro course, then 5 finished glazed pieces are included (each additional finished piece costs 12.00 Euro extra). Glazing will then take place on the third date. Here we have a large selection of high-temperature glazes that create a wonderful play of colors. You can then choose from over 50 glazes.

–> If you have opted for the course for 139.00 euros, the firing costs and the opportunity to glaze your pieces are optional.
The firing costs for the first firing are 10.00 euros/kg and our 2-hour glazing course costs 25.00 euros. This option is particularly suitable for course participants who already make pottery and want to continue practicing. You can then decide whether you want to keep all the pieces or recycle them. If you want to keep 5 finished glazed pieces, the price is the same as for the all inclusive course.

+What will the pieces look like?
That’s up to you, but usually they will be small cups, vases or bowls made from high quality clay. In all our courses we only use stoneware clay to ensure that your pieces are durable, functional and have a long, happy life :).

+Glazing
All glazes are safe and are later heated up to 1220C° in our professional kilns. This stage of production is incredibly transformative – your pieces will not only be beautiful and unique, but also functional, food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe.

+ The course schedule Friday
1st day pottery making (FR 18.00 – 21.00)
2nd day turning of the works (the next day SAM 16.00 – 19.00)
Between these days your works will be dried and fired in the kiln at 960C°.
3rd day glazing of the works (next SAM 16.00 – 18.00*)
After this day, your ceramics will be high-fired in the kiln at 1220C°.

*You can also glaze your pieces later – you have 1 month to come back and finish your pieces during a glazing workshop!
