Our new Spin & Glaze family edition is the perfect first step for children aged 8 to 14 and their parents to immerse themselves in the world of handmade ceramics. You will spend 2 hours throwing your first ceramic pieces and glaze them a week later in another 2-hour session.

+ What you will do
What will the pieces look like? It’s up to you, but usually it’s small cups, vases, bowls or flower pots made from high quality clay. In all our courses we only use stoneware clay to ensure your pieces are durable, functional and have a long, happy life :). This course includes 1 finished piece. Each additional piece costs 12€ extra if you want to keep it and finish it with glazes.

+ The course schedule
Day 1 Pottery on the wheel – 2 hours. You will learn how to produce your first pottery on the wheel.
Between these days your pieces will be dried and fired in the kiln at 960 C°.

2nd day glazing – one week later – 2 hours. You will learn how to glaze your pieces.
After this day your ceramics will be high fired in the kiln at 1200 C°.
(!) The glaze session can be postponed to any date of the glaze workshop – you have 1 month to come back and finish your pieces (ask your teacher for more information)

+ What happens if you are the only person who has booked a particular course?
If this is the case, we will simply convert your course into a private session in which you will spend the first hour pottering/hand modelling together with a course instructor. You will then have 1 hour to practice on your own. One week later, the glazing session is scheduled, during which you will learn the glazing technique in another two-hour session.

If there are only two of you attending a course, then 1.5 hours will be spent together with the instructor and then you will have another hour to work independently.

This course is ideal for ALL ceramic beginners.

+ How does the booking work?
The ticket price is per person. Children up to the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Both the adult and the child need their own ticket.
