Join us for a memorable week creating art and bonding in this special pottery course designed for parents and children.

This hands-on experience introduces you both to the world of ceramics, from shaping clay with your hands to crafting beautiful, functional pieces. Whether you want to build sculptures or make bowls, mugs, and plates, you’ll discover the basics of wheel throwing and hand-building techniques in a fun, supportive environment.

Throughout the course, you’ll collaborate side by side with your child, fostering teamwork and creativity while crafting unique ceramic pieces. as you learn how to craft unique ceramics. Our experienced instructors will guide you through every step, providing individual attention and ensuring both adults and kids feel confident and inspired.

At the end of the week, you’ll have created a collection of pieces to use or treasure, along with the unforgettable experience of sharing the joy of pottery with your child. Within 3 weeks after your course your masterpieces will be ready for pickup.

Of course, children aged 9 and up can join the pottery camp without their parents!

+ What you will make
Pottery on the wheel, hand modeling, clay recycling and many other techniques related to ceramics such as shaping and textures. Each of you will work with approx. 25 kg of clay during the week!

After a week of intensive ceramics program you will be able to produce great works without instruction – just book our Open Studio and let your creativity run wild in our facilities. Quality time with your family is guaranteed!

This course is ideal for all ceramic beginners! Children aged 8–16 can join with a parent or other accompanying adult.

Day 1: Centering the clay & hand modeling: Introduction to the basic techniques of the wheel and hand modeling.

Day 2: Throwing cylinders, hand modelling & personal pottery stamp: Practice cylinder shapes on the wheel, learn the thumb hand modelling technique and create a personal stamp to sign.

Day 3: Making cups on the wheel, plates with hand modelling and preparing slip: Throwing cups, learning about the slab technique for plates and production of slip for modeling and painting.

Day 4: Throwing bowls & carving: production of bowls and introduction to the carving technique for decoration.

Day 5: Trimming pieces & clay recycling: Refining the pieces by trimming on the wheel, decorating with engobes and recycling clay remnants.

Each day we have intense learning program from 9:00 till 15:00 and independent work if desired between 15:00-17:00 when you can keep mastering newly acquired skills be it working on the pottery wheel or on your handmodeling project.

+ How many pieces will I have in my hand at the end?
2 – 4 pottery pieces on the wheel
3 small hand-modeled pieces
1 large modeled piece (weekly project)

We fire all these pieces twice and glaze them transparently. They’ll be fully functional and safe for use in microwaves and dishwashers.
