If you want to reserve a time slot for glazing your pieces for our open studio, you are in the right place! No matter whether you have a “Monthly Pass” or not. Only this 1-hour slot is valid for glazing. The “Monthly Pass” units are to be used exclusively for throwing or modeling.

Please book an additional 1-hour slot if you plan to stay 2 hours.

+As a heads up
If you have never attended one of our glazing workshops before, you must make an appointment online for this workshop (additional glazing workshop) before you can come to the Open Studio to glaze independently. This costs a one-time fee of 25.00 euros. After 3 weeks, you can then come to the studio to pick up your pieces independently. Your pieces will be ready then.

+ Behind the scenes
Nachdem du mit dem Gestalten deiner Werke zufrieden bist, kümmern wir uns darum, dass deine Keramik richtig trocknet. Nach ein bis zwei Tagen werden deine Stücke auf den Kopf gestellt, um vollständig durch zu trocknen. Zeitgleich werden sie von uns retuschiert und beschriftet.
Je nach Dicke deiner Kreation kann es 5 - 8 Tage dauern, bis sie in den Brennofen können. Danach werden sie bei 960 Grad im Brennofen gebrannt. Das Erreichen dieser Temperatur sowie das langsame Abkühlen dauert bis zu 28 Stunden. Nachdem der erste Brand dann abgeschlossen ist, werden die Werke mit unseren Hochtemperaturglasuren am zweiten Termin deines Kurses von dir glasiert und danach kommen sie erneut in den Brennofen, um sie dieses Mal bei 1220 Grad zu brennen. Nach weiteren 36 Stunden ist dein Stück dann fertig und kann aus dem Ofen hinaus. Nun ist es langlebig und voll funktionsfähig, das bedeutet, du kannst es jetzt auch in die Mikrowelle sowie in den Geschirrspüler stellen.
Insgesamt sind die Keramikstücke 3 Wochen nach dem letzten Kurstag zur Abholung im jeweiligen Studio bereit. Dort sind sie dann nach Nachnamen in unseren Regalen einsortiert. Komm gerne während unserer Öffnungszeiten vorbei und hol sie ab.

When can I pick up my finished pieces, and what happens if I forget?
Your pieces are ready for pickup 3 weeks after your session. Please collect them within 2 months. After that, we store them by month...Note: We cannot take responsibility after 3 months. Items not picked up may be donated to “Aktion Leben”.
Can someone else pick up my piece for me?
Yes, a friend can collect your work – just show a photo of your piece. If you attended as a group, one person can pick up everything. Just make sure they know your names and creations.
Can you ship my pieces to me?
We ship within the EU. Not outside. Rates:Austria (1–3 pieces): €7.17
Germany (1–3 pieces): €17.35
Other EU countries: €21.00
+ €9.50 packaging & handling fee.
*Medium-sized items like cups/bowls. Larger ones count as two.
How do I book a course using a gift card?
Select your course, checkout, and enter your code in the “Gift Card” field. Valid at both studio locations.
What’s the difference between pottery and hand-building classes?
Pottery: Uses an electric wheel for symmetrical pieces
Hand-building: Clay shaping by hand – more creative and organic forms
Choose based on what you want to make.
Can I make an extra piece?
Courses are designed for one piece. But for €12, you can have extra pieces glazed and fired.
Can I bring my own snacks or drinks to class?
Yes! You can bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours after payment and receive a full refund of the course fees. If you want to change a booking, you can do so one time independently in your customer account up to 24 hours before the course starts.
