In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use the coil-technique to shape your own unique piece, like a cup, bowl, or small vase. But that’s just the beginning: with colorful clay, marbling effects, and 3D appliqués, you’ll give your creation a personal, artistic twist. Want to go even further? Use our selection of underglazes to add hand-painted accents – the possibilities are endless. Whether it’s a cup with a strawberry relief or a mini vase decorated with delicate leaves – it’s entirely up to you. After the session, your piece will be professionally fired and glazed, making it food-safe, dishwasher- and microwave-friendly, and ready for everyday use.

+ Behind the Scenes
After you’re done working on your piece, we make sure the conditions are right for your piece to dry properly – after a day or two, we turn it upside down and write your initials on it. Depending on the thickness of your creation, it will take 3-10 days to dry completely. Once it’s dry, we fire it at 960 degrees Celsius – reaching the right temperature and cooling takes about 28 hours. After the initial “raw” firing, we dip your piece in transparent glaze and place it in the kiln again – this time to fire at 1220 degrees Celsius. After another 36 hours, your piece is beautiful, shiny, very durable and fully functional. You can now use it every day, put it in the dishwasher and be proud of yourself 🙂
